ONE-DIGIT ADDITION WORD PROBLEMSThis activity will help you practice your simple addition skills. We're going to show you a word problem and you will need to choose the correct sum. Here's an example of a one question. "Bob worked five hours in the morning and two at night. How many hours did Bob work?" You will need to find the two numbers in the word problem and add them together. This example would create the problem "5+2" Your sum would be seven (7). Since this is single-digit addition, you will never add any numbers greater than nine (9). You will find many word problems as you learn more math.Good luck and have fun. DIRECTIONSThis is one of the NumberNut four-card activities. Your question will be displayed at the top of the screen. Under that question, you will see four (4) possible answers. Just click on the card with the correct answer. The next screen will show you the correct answer. You get a happy face for every correct answer and a sad face for every wrong answer. The quiz is over after ten (10) questions. Take the quiz again and again because all of the questions are random. Chances are, you'll get a new quiz every time. It's good practice to learn these basic arithmetic operations. |
